Q: What is the Sidecar AI Learning Hub?

A: The AI Learning Hub is a self-paced learning platform designed for association professionals. It offers lessons, hands-on practice, and strategic insights to help users apply AI in association work. It is consistently updated with the most relevant AI updates. It is a unique learning platform that provides rich content at the intersection of AI and associations. 

Q: Which courses should I take first?

A: While you can choose courses relevant to your role, it’s recommended that everyone begins with Foundations of AI, then proceed to AI Prompting.

Q: How long are the courses?

A: Each course is approximately one to two hours and is asynchronous and broken into lessons. For example: 

  • Foundations of AI: ~1 hour 50 minutes (12 lessons)  
  • AI Prompting: ~1 hour (13 lessons)  
  • Strategy in the Age of AI: ~2 hours 15 minutes (10 lessons)  
  • Other electives vary (e.g. AI in Events & Education: ~50 min)  
Q: How do I access the courses?

Q: Are the courses eligible for CAE credit hours?

A: Yes. Completing the 7 core courses in the Learning Hub earns you 11 CAE credit hours

AAiP Certification (Association Artificial Intelligence Professional)

Q: What is the Association AI Professional (AAiP) Certification?

A: AAiP is a certification program to equip association professionals with AI knowledge and skills, specific to association use cases. 

Q: How do I earn the AAiP Certification?

A: You must: 

  1. Complete the series of courses in the Learning Hub 
  1. Pass exams that validate your AI knowledge and application in associations  
Q: How long does the certification take?

A: Many learners complete the full certification in about 30 days, averaging ~3-5 hours per week. 

Q: How long is the certification valid, and how do I maintain it?

A: The certification is valid for 1 year. To renew, you must: 

  • Complete “What’s New in AI” update courses (every 6 months)  
  • Submit a short project showing how you’ve applied AI in practice (e.g. webinar, team session) 
  • Earn elective hours, either via Sidecar or approved third-party providers
